Reader friends, this is Dee today, peeking from behind the screen to say hi! And to share an update on D.I. Telbat novels and other things he’s working on. I met with David last month and we had a good time discussing his plans and ideas for the coming year. But, first…
IDOP is NOV 1
Many of you are aware of the International Day of Prayer coming up November 1st. I’m sure we all have long prayer lists, especially for our country and leaders. But I’ve found these sites that give more info on international prayer needs. Let’s pray extra on Nov 1.
*Visit Open Doors to sign up for a live webcast scheduled for Oct 30.
*Visit Gospel for Asia to download a short prayer list.
*Visit Voice of the Martyrs for a video about how God used an ex-Hindu extremist who targeted Christians.

The NEXT COIL BOOKS – THE COIL LEGACY
I must share about something David did—yes, there’s a story behind this series. I’ve been waiting for him to finish Book One in The COIL Legacy so he could get it to me. Can you imagine my reaction when he informed me that he’d just tossed the whole manuscript? Gasp! Are you kidding? Nope. I was speechless, my mind in shock. But what about your readers? What will we publish?
What happened was, David had been trying to include material he’d written long ago, reworking it, making something new of it. But he was struggling and it wasn’t flowing well. He decided it just wouldn’t work, and literally tossed it. And you know what else he did? He cut it up so I couldn’t talk him into trying to make it work! (Laughing out loud; he knows me too well!)
You will be happy to hear that his second try has just flowed and he’s already done writing Book One! He’s much happier with this version. And that’s important—that an author likes his own story. My question to him when he’s finished with each project, “Do you like the story?” And he does; he’s excited about it. That’s a good sign! So, I’m excited too! I’m expecting the manuscript soon. David’s working on his second draft now.
He wants to publish The COIL Legacy Prequel, Distant Boundary, and Book One, Distant Contact, within a couple weeks of each other, so we’re looking at January now. You won’t be disappointed! Keep your eyes on our Novel News page!
If you’ve not checked out the Prequel for this new series, visit our DISTANT BOUNDARY Page here for a short description and the great cover created by Streetlight Graphics. The Prequel is in the hands of a second editor now, so it’s moving along well. It’s a very exciting storyline with Titus Caspertein. Corban Dowler is still in the picture, too, so no worries. This is another series that will again keep you up nights, so rest up! 😉
The DISTANT CONTACT cover will be created by mid-November so watch for that soon! I’ll have a new webpage and description up for the book as well. David has exciting ideas for DISTANT HARM, Book Two, and the rest of this series, so, stay tuned!
DISCOUNTS FOR CHURCH AND PRISON LIBRARIES
We’d love to get D.I. Telbat paperback books into church and prison/jail libraries. If you’d like to do that, please contact me (Dee) for the discount code, or if you have questions.
Some things to consider if you plan to donate books to prisons or jails: contact the facility or inmate to learn what their policy is for accepting books. For instance, in California, inmates can receive paperback (not hardback) books from certain vendors (i.e. Amazon, CreateSpace, CBD, and others). They aren’t allowed to receive books sent directly from friends/family. There may be a limit of how many books they can receive at a time as well.
We’ve sent books to inmates and asked them to donate them to their library after they’ve finished reading and passing them around to their friends. Since inmates are limited in the number of books they can have in their property, this is a great solution. We’ve been blessed by being able to get clean, yet exciting, stories with God’s message into the hands of many, even through David’s fiction.
One of the next projects I’m working on is formatting a couple of David’s new, longer short stories (novellas) to submit to Amazon’s Kindle Single program. The stories can only be 5,000-30,000 words long. (Dark Liaison is about 83,000 words, to give you an idea.) I have three stories to prep but I hope to have at least one ready for the Christmas season.
Another project we’ll be working on is putting many of David’s short stories together into eBook collections we’re calling Redemption Collection, Book 1, Book 2, etc. A working title for Book One is Vision of Courage. Book Two might be Vision of Danger. I’ll have news on our Novel News Page as this project moves forward. I’ll be creating a page on our site for these as well.
That’s all the news I have to share this time. Be watching our Novel News Page for updates as they become available. We love hearing from you and seeing your reviews of David’s books on Amazon and other retailers. They encourage us and help David in his future publishing plans. Thank you so much for reading, Friends!
The Lord bless you and keep you as you serve Him in your own spheres,
