Hope in the Guarantee
Hope gives us vision, endurance, and peace. It settles our confidence on that which our certain expectation is focused. This is why our hope must abide on sure reality.
In Soldier of Hope, Army Ranger Jeffrey Grant hoped to return to his family, but his underlying fundamental hope was in Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of his faith.
Our Hope will not Disappoint
Like Jeff, many of us are burdened with matters that threaten to overwhelm our lives. Our worries and sorrows seem insurmountable. But it’s the Object of our hope that turns our hope of victory into a certainty.
The Apostle Peter reminded his readers that believers were born again to a living hope, a hope that transcends the fallen world. Our sorrows do have personal value, but God desires that we value Him to the point that we rest our hope on Him completely. And our hope will not be disappointed in Him who is changeless and omnipotent.
Be a soldier of hope! See you in the field,
