Welcome to Telbat’s Tablet, Readers! This is Christian Author David Telbat with the third in my five challenges. I’m suggesting five ways to improve our lives by pursuing a servant’s attitude for God. In my action novels, the Christian characters are defined by men and women with these qualities. Here is Challenge #3—
Selfless instead of Selfish
The most amazing people I know are those who respond with love and care for those who need them most. Who might need you?
Challenge 3 – Pray for someone you’ve never prayed for before.
We’d probably all be a little embarrassed if we listed the people in our lives that we’ve never said a heartfelt prayer for—our neighbor, our roommate, our boss, or our coworker.
The Bible says prayer brings us peace, regardless of the responses we get. Who of us couldn’t use more peace? Prayer, our communication with God, also expresses to God what we may not otherwise share with anyone else. And the act of prayer proves our faith.
This challenge may seem to be the simplest, but for that reason, prayer is often passed by. Be certain of this: when you pray for others, you will be touched, the person you pray for will be affected, and God will respond.
Tell that person you prayed for them and wait to watch what happens. Accepting this challenge will change our lives!
See you in the field!
