Merry Christmas, Reader Friends! This is Dee today with D.I. Telbat’s latest novel news. 🙂 As we near the end of 2014, we thought it fitting to give you a peek at what David is working on and has in store for you in Christian suspense for the coming year.
FREE Short Stories
David will continue to bring you individual FREE short stories every week. As time allows, I’ll be putting together some of his past stories into eBook format, and adding more stories to COIL Extractions eBook already available as a free download from some retailers. [UPDATE: COIL Extractions has been updated! Read about it here.]
“Is the COIL Series ever going to be out in PRINT?” you ask.
Well… YES, Dark Liaison, Book One in The COIL Series, IS about to become a physical book for your bookshelf! [UPDATE: Dark Liaison is NOW IN PAPERBACK! You can pick up a copy at our eStore here. [Subscribe to our weekly blog to get a special discount!]
Called to Gobi
Those of you who’ve read Dark Zeal, Book FIVE in the COIL Series, have had a sneak preview into the first chapter of Called to Gobi. This saga is near and dear to David’s own heart, and was a favorite of my own husband (he gets to read the early drafts of David’s books!). UPDATE: Called To Gobi is NOW AVAILABLE from AMAZON! Click the title for a direct link to this missionary story and End Times Chronicle.
A New COIL Trilogy
David is working on a new COIL Trilogy with a futuristic scenario! He isn’t sure yet what the titles will be, but they’ll be revealed soon. You’ll love the characters he has in store for you, too! 😉 (These won’t be in the continuation of the current COIL Series.)
New Website in the Works
We’ve decided that it’s time to upgrade to a new website for Telbat’s Tablet! I hope to start on it in January, so you may notice changes, if you visit our site in the near future. Hopefully, the site won’t be down at all. And it shouldn’t interrupt our twice-weekly posting and email delivery. We’re excited about this endeavor and we hope it will bring even more reading enjoyment to you!
New COIL #6
David has begun working on Book Six in the COIL Series. Though he may decide to start a new series name for the next few, they’ll still be a continuation of the current COIL Series that you’ve come to love. 🙂 UPDATE: David has decided to call this NEW SERIES, The COIL Legacy. Click the title to read a description of this new exciting saga!
This book is one that David wrote when he was a young teen, and then tucked it into a drawer for years. He’s given me a glimpse into the storyline and premise, and I loved it! I told him he should try to do something with it someday. Now he’s planning to begin working on it after his next COIL book! He’ll have to rewrite the whole novel, but his unique storyline will remain intact. We can all look forward to seeing what he does with this exciting story. He’ll give us a description in coming months.
FACTS IN FICTION
As with all of David’s books, he desires to bring attention to the Persecuted Church. He researches and reads much about our suffering brothers and sisters, and includes realistic scenarios in his short stories and novels. Though names and places are fictionalized, David includes facts in his fiction so you can learn about, remember, and pray for these special servants of the Lord.
In Dark Liaison, Book One in the COIL Series, we’ve included information about Voice of the Martyrs; Book Two, Dark Hearted, includes Samaritan’s Purse; Book Three, Dark Rule, includes the ministry Vision Beyond Borders; in Book Four, Dark Vessel, we share with you about Gospel For Asia, and in Dark Zeal, Book Five, we have Christian Aid Mission. We pray this information helps as you look into these different ministries—whether to support with prayer, time, or finances. God will bless you as you remember these special people.
Reviews that Focus on Books about Godly Servants
Enjoy these reviews by David on several books that highlight missionaries or persecuted Christians: God’s Smuggler, about Brother Andrew; Son of Hamas, about Mosab Hassan Yousef; Peace Child, about Don Richardson; Rescue the Captors, about Russell Stendal ; and Iran: Desperate for God, testimonies of 8 Christians living in Iran.
That’s it for this time. Thank you for reading! God bless you and keep you, especially this time of year as we remember Jesus and how He humbled Himself for us. I’ll peek out again in the New Year! 🙂
COMING UP: Next WEDNESDAY, David shares from his Author Reflections in “Expose the Battlefield-Encouragement for 2015.“
