Hi Readers! Welcome to Telbat’s Tablet. Christian Author David Telbat here to share my sentiments on my Special Forces novel, Jaguar Dusk in, “The Spirit of the Jaguar Lives on!”
Where the jaguars prowl…
The characters of Jaguar Dusk are forever embedded in my memory. When I wrote the book in about twenty days last year, I knew the short chapters and unique personalities were a new template for writing full-length novels.
I’m humbled and thankful to hear that some of you have similar attachments to Eero and his wife and daughter. I cannot say yet that their story is finished forever, but for now, I am concentrating on other novels for you, and editing other COIL books to get them out within the next couple of years.
Dusk hides their activity
You may have caught the idea that there is more non-fiction to my writing than I’ve let on. You are right! God sometimes uses the world’s destructive intentions to actually cloak His servants’ work—and I feel called to give you a glimpse of what could be happening in the shadows. Every week, I receive reports of tormented and persecuted Christians around the world. I do fictionalize, but we mustn’t forget what these stories represent.
Several of you have written that my writing, by God’s grace, has convicted you to respond to the call to assist or pray more for the persecuted. I’m so thankful that you are acting on your convictions. Otherwise, my writing is merely entertainment.
