Dear reading friends, Thank you for joining us today as I share an author reflection with you about infectious prisoners for Christ. It is time you and I (David) make a stand to be complete vessels for only God’s purpose. Have you been following the recent news about Christian persecution? Christians who are arrested all around the world are becoming more infectious with the gospel!
Infectious, you ask? Oh, yes! Persecuted Christians have infectious faith, and foreign governments continue to scratch their heads and wonder how to rid their society of these pesky believers.
Imagine that you’re one of the recent believers arrested in China. You come before the tribunal for sentencing. You’re rejoicing to suffer for the truth of the gospel, and you can’t believe you’re about to be a witness for Christ to the very people who are soon to sentence you.
“I understand you must sentence me to a re-education camp,” you say. “Please make sure it’s for at least two years though. I need to learn the language a little better, and I want plenty of time to share the truth of Jesus with the lost men and women in the camp.“
How infectious are you? Would a restricted country be concerned about imprisoning you because you’re bound to lead more prisoners to Christ? I hope so! Things to think about.
Remain infectious! And continue to pray for those suffering for their faith around the world. Pray that they will be bold witnesses to even their persecutors.
See you in the field!
