Welcome, Reader Friends and New Subscribers! This is David Telbat with Part 3 of my COIL Confidence Series. Did you know your confidence as a Christian pleases God? In a couple recent articles, I wrote about examples of Christian men and women characters found in The COIL Series who have confidence in Jesus Christ. In this post, I’d like to share examples of a few more characters in some of my other books who I hope will inspire you to live more confidently and dependently on Jesus Christ.
Examples of Christian Confidence
Arabian Variable – In this book, Carson Adams wanders from his commitment to Christ, only to be dragged through a crisis in which he must turn back to God, and renew his confidence in Him. This story will take you on an adventure around the world, but you’ll be challenged to understand God’s forgiveness, and trust in His goodness in spite of tragic circumstances.
Sea Scribe – This book is about Troy Forge, a lonely adventurer on the open sea, who is forced to see God’s hand on people who cross his path. Because he knows God is in control of his circumstances, he is confident his interactions with others are also meant for a purpose. If you read this novel, you’ll be challenged to trust God alongside Troy as he does the extraordinary, even when the extraordinary is unexpected. You’ll also find a great message of forgiveness in the story.
God’s Colonel – Emit Dross is the main character in this book, a rebel who learns to rely on God during End Times circumstances. The confidence Emit shows, alongside his family, teaches us that it’s okay to risk everything for the gospel and for the love that Christ puts inside our hearts.
Soldier of Hope – Jeff Grant cannot be kept down. His confidence in a greater purpose than himself inspires him to escape his captors in Afghanistan and attempt to return to his family. His confidence isn’t found within himself, but rather in what he believes is true about his Lord.
More Confidence to Come
There’s another End Times novel I’ve not mentioned above. Called To Gobi is a special story that gives us a unique glimpse of a man’s confidence through loneliness, violence, and poverty. If you are ready to witness confidence in a novel about God’s trustworthiness, join Andrew Foworthy in this story about survival, love, and faith. You may not anticipate the future the same way again!
I don’t want to be left behind when others are being used by God in ways that bring Him glory. God often allows us to see how others are succeeding where we aren’t, to encourage us to sit up and take action so we can honor Him with our obedience and confidence in Him.
Confidence gives you power, as long as that in which you place your confidence is powerful. Confidence is like faith and hope, which is only immovable if the object of your faith and hope is immovable. The truth of Jesus Christ dying for sins and being raised from the dead is an immovable fact, a powerful act that changes lives around the world every day. Are you part of God’s message of powerful, immovable confidence?
See you on the field!
