Christian Ministries are Ready for You!
Greetings Readers and New Subscribers! David here. If you have read any of my novels, then you have seen that I am supportive of a number of Christian ministries, missions, and relief organizations. Are these ministries distant, impersonal groups, with unknown world impact?
No! Dee and I both personally know individuals who are, or have been, a part of the VBB, VOM, and/or Samaritan’s Purse ministries. They confirm the integrity of each of these ministries in which we encourage involvement. These groups not only have a strong world impact, but also a local one—some even closer to home than you may realize!
Take Vision Beyond Borders, for instance. These underground Bible “agents” not only visit countries where they would otherwise be unwelcome, but VBB always has a stateside operation with need of helping hands from believers like you and me as well!
Whether it’s getting a shipment of seeds from Texas at their Montana headquarters, or collecting and boxing up clothing and medicines for the persecuted or orphans overseas, VBB can be emailed or called right now for a list of current needs that will impact hurting believers throughout the world.
Samaritan’s Purse is not an impersonal ministry either—as seen when they are first to respond to a natural disaster anywhere in the world, or to supply housing to persecuted believers that have lost everything. They not only relieve the distressed, they also share the gospel through their powerful outreach. Samaritan’s Purse has many local hands-on ministries as well.
Voice of the Martyrs continues their faithful and oftentimes secretive work where others would seldom venture. Their reports of persecution worldwide have saved lives, brought people to Christ, and employed people in a lifetime of ministry.
These three ministries are not distant when you can contact them today and offer yourself for a life-changing mission overseas, or for hands-on service closer to home in the States. And these organizations have something very personal embedded in the heart of their ministries—the message of the Cross. I can think of no greater or more satisfying message to rally behind. Become a Special Forces Christian with these ministries!
Stay in prayer for the brave people involved in these ministries. When you impact others, you are also impacted!
See you in the field!
NOTE: Ways that YOU can make a difference TODAY: Samaritan’s Purse has ways you can help flood victims and other disasters. Voice of the Martyrs has volunteer slots open for short or long term missions, or for you to Be-a-Voice Area Representative around the country. And Vision Beyond Borders is asking for people to help deliver Bibles in closed countries. Pray about these opportunities!
As we pray for hurting believers around the world, you may like to read David’s post, “How to Gain Perspective on Natural Disasters.”
COMING UP: Next WEDNESDAY, come back to read a status report on Bhutan by Agent Corban Dowler.
