Welcome, Reading Friends! This is Dee today with a glimpse into which novel to expect from D.I. Telbat in the coming months, as well as news of our website changes.
DAWN OF OPPRESSION
David has been working hard on Book Two of the Last Dawn Trilogy, titled Dawn of Oppression! He is implementing new research to add intrigue and interest to this great storyline. I think this just may be his very best novel yet! (Of course, I say that with each new book he writes, as many of you say as well! 😉 ) Jenna Dowler is just one of the familiar characters you will find in this new novel. If you don’t know who Jenna is, you may want to find time to read The COIL Series, beginning with the free Prequel, Dark Edge, followed by Book One, Dark Liaison, in which you will meet young Jenna.
A note for you from David:
Dawn of Oppression is REALLY coming along! Instead of COIL being the ones who rescue the persecuted, now COIL is the persecuted in America’s Last Days. Many of your favorite COIL characters return in this book as Corban and Jenna Dowler organize a clandestine network against a socialistic regime run out of New York City. There is heartbreak from the beginning, and suspense that will make you shiver in fear, then cause you to drop to your knees to pray for God’s intervention. I’m putting everything I can into this novel for you, and I hope to get this lengthy book into Dee’s hands around the end of September, so it’s winding up. I’ll keep you posted!”
Book One of the Last Dawn Trilogy is Dawn of Affliction, and is David’s longest novel at this time. He tells me he wants to outdo Book One, so be watching for another amazing COIL saga coming this winter!
The LEGACY COLLECTION COMING IN PRINT
The Legacy Collection is out in eBook format, with three full-length novels under one cover—Distant Contact, Distant Front, and Distant Harm. But it’s still coming as a paperback as well! I have the proof copy in hand and have been working through it, editing and updating all three novels (again) as I go. I’m well into Distant Harm. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed re-reading these exciting novels again! I’ll soon be updating the single book files, as well as the Collection files, then will submit the updates and will let you know in a post when the paperback is available! It’s been a big job, but well worth it!
CHANGES ARE A COMIN’
Some months ago, I mentioned that we were making big changes with our website. Running a website isn’t as simple as it used to be. Things are becoming more technical with security and SEO, and I (Dee) am just not able to keep up with it any longer. I’ve loved running the site these past 8+ years, and have learned a LOT. It’s going to be hard to let it go, but I must . . .
We came up with a simpler solution. That was to open an account with Draft 2 Digital (D2D) where we can display all of David’s books, yet D2D takes care of all of the security and upkeep and updates of the site. I still have freedom to add his books and text to the new author page, but unfortunately, we can’t add book covers that haven’t been published yet. (I’ll ask if they can add that feature so you can see what’s coming!)
Also, there won’t be a way for us to host our blog posts on the site, but we do intend to keep the blog going. That means, if you are receiving our weekly emails with David’s short stories and other articles, you will continue to receive those through MailChimp (or similar service) every Monday AM. There just isn’t a way to keep those posts on the D2D site. But there IS A WAY for new readers to subscribe to our ongoing blog posts! And there will still be a way to get your free subscriber gifts! I’ll have more info for you in future posts.
Our new D2D site is fully functioning. We have all of David’s books represented, with each cover on its own page, along with a book description and direct links to retailers. One helpful feature is that on each book page, there is one link to show you every retailer that carries that book. Come visit us here!
As stated above, we won’t be able to have all of David’s short stories, or Author Reflections, on the new site for your free reading pleasure, as we’ve had all these years. BUT, we didn’t want to just delete forever all of those wonderful stories! So, we’ve decided to have his short stories available for his readers by creating more Short Story Collections (in eBook format to start)!
We are still working on ideas, but the eBooks will have many stories in them, and will be low-priced. Also, we’ve noticed every year that many readers are very interested in David’s Mother’s Day-themed and Father’s Day-themed stories, so we’ll be creating eBooks specifically for those special days. David has lots of writing to do to create new short stories for those collections! (Did you hear/read that, David??) 😉
BUT WE CONTINUE
So, there’s a little glimpse into our future website endeavor. Our timetable is to close our original website at the end of November 2019. But we’ll continue to use both sites until then. MaAnna with BlogAid.net will be helping me close the site safely. She has been a godsend these past years. I couldn’t have done it without her coming to our rescue numerous times, and advising me on needful changes and updates.
BUT we’ll continue, just in a different way! David will continue to write amazing novels, as well as weekly blog posts, and we will get his books out to you as soon as we can!
We praise the Lord for each and every one of you who read David’s books and stories and blog posts. It’s been an amazing adventure for the whole Telbat Team and we look forward to continuing for many more years! David still has MANY stories to tell, so the rest of us will never be able to retire, lol! 😉
That’s all the news for this time. Thank you for reading. God’s blessings to you as you serve the Lord in your own circles.
for the Telbat Team
COMING UP: Join us next time for David Telbat’s new story, “Dad, I’m not Ready.” It’s a true story of how God got through to one man.
