Welcome, Reading Friend! Thanks for joining us for the first in my Special Forces Christian Series, “Are You a Special Forces Christian?”
Many of my stories are about Special Forces Christians in battle with the darkness of this world. This Special Forces Series is a call to arms to the Christians that are ready for action, like the characters in my novels!
Beyond the Pew
Does the world weary you? Do you sense the need for Christ in the world?
This series of articles about Special Forces Christianity is for you if . . .
-You’re tired of exercising your faith nominally.
-You’re tired of sitting in the pew week after week.
-You don’t know how to step out for Christ more, but you know you should.
-You accepted Christ, but haven’t yet put a dent in the darkness.
-You’re seeking direction before God Almighty.
-You have skills that might be useful on the mission field.
MISSION FIELD = ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD from your doorstep to India, or Alaska, or South America, or Africa, OR NEXT DOOR
What is a Special Forces Christian (SFC)?
An SFC is a believer of any gender of any age in any country who acknowledges the dangers of spiritual darkness and shares Christ’s love boldly in spite of the physical risks.
A SFC may be . . .
-the elderly prayer warrior on her knees next to her bed every morning;
-the furniture salesman who drives into the slums to befriend the junkie for Christ;
-the mechanic turned Bible smuggler behind closed borders.
Have you Calculated the Cost? (Read Luke 14:25-35)
Didn’t you calculate the cost, the risk, the sacrifice of calling yourself a Christian? Of course you did. Deep down, you’ve always known God was calling on you for something special, unique, and full of impact.
It’s time to respond. It’s time to say, “Finances are tight, but the message is more important. God, I trust Your promise to provide.”
Are You Ready to Stand?
In this series, I want us to question our mediocre commitment. I want us to identify what’s holding us back from being a Special Forces Christian.
God is looking for an army, a coalition. We already have a name—we call ourselves CHRISTIANS. We need to stand together and mobilize! (Luke 10:2 – Fields are white for harvest)
More to come on this challenge.
Hope to see you on the field!
