Welcome, Readers and New Subscribers! David Telbat here to offer you Part IV in my series, “5 Challenges that Will Change your Life.” This series is meant to help us develop a servant’s attitude for God. I try to develop characters in my action novels with many of these qualities. Thank you for joining us for part four in the Challenge Series.
Taking the lead, not taking your leave
I used to be the guy in the room who was closest to the door. As soon as any function was finished—whoosh! I was gone to my car.
So far, we’ve examined how to take the lead in writing people, visiting people, and praying for those we’ve not prayed for before. Now, we’re going to travel!
Challenge IV – Travel out of your way to meet people
Would it surprise you to know that not everyone who wants to talk to you can get to you? That means you must again reach out to them.
Whom will you meet anew? It could be the traveling missionary who’s only in the next town, or the line of homeless people in that questionable part of town you usually avoid. They want to meet you, and they need to hear your story. Tell them why you are there, and about the challenge you’ve accepted to help others in the name of Jesus Christ. What an opening statement that would be!
Imagine the joy in that person’s heart when you share how far you came just to see them! Maybe they won’t give you the time of day. And maybe you cancelled a day of activities to reach them. But if you occasionally go out of your way to meet people, God will see your sacrifice, you’ll be blessed, and it will change your life!
See you in the field!
Please be praying for the Persecuted Church.
