Welcome Reading Friends, including our New Subscribers! This is David Telbat with my weekly post. First, we want to express our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the people of Florida in the wake of hurricane destruction. We pray for God to use even this tragic situation to reach hearts and lives with the Gospel of Christ.

Immediacy Alarm for Christians
If you’ve read any of my recent novels, you’ve seen a gradual draw toward one subject—the nearness of the coming of Christ. I would not be a responsible writer if I did not continually alert my friends about the very real and soon return of Jesus.
Several hundred years before Christ came, it was first prophesied in what manner and for what purpose God would come in the flesh. And He came! It has now been about two thousand more years since Christ Himself said He would return to receive His church unto Himself. And He will return!
Although I have been writing about grave conditions overtaking fictional characters around the world—as in The COIL Series and The COIL Legacy Series, and across America in The Steadfast Series—all of it has been to encourage God’s people to be Christ-like and to be spiritually ready.
It seems that much of America is aware of something about the God of the Bible, but many are asleep in their easy chairs in front of the television, the Bible on their laps, or on the book shelf. And from the darkness, a figure tip-toes forward and gently plucks away the Bible off their laps. To many, God’s truth is not important or prominent anymore.
Although we are witnessing unprecedented worldwide aggression and animosity toward Christianity and the Bible, it is my prayer that my readers are encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith, even as the world, morality, and sense of right crumbles around us.
Last Dawn Trilogy will not Disappoint
In the next series about America’s Last Days, the first book is titled Dawn of Affliction. I have written it to offer Christians clean, adventurous fiction, yes—but my motive is to display Christian character and faith in the face of great adversity.
In Dawn of Affliction, all that Americans once held dear in the material world is stripped away. That is where I want you, my friend, to see that you have indeed chosen that which is better: a relationship with our Eternal God. The world should not hold our attention; God does!
A Bible verse reminds me of exactly what we need to hear right now, so we do not grow disheartened while waiting upon God and His promise. In 2 Peter 3:9, the apostle wrote, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
As God has been patient with us, let us be patient in our waiting upon Him. The Lord will come, and all things will be set right. We are told that great tribulation has yet to take place, but we will remain in the hand of our Lord. Continue to stand, my friends. We have much to anticipate!
See you on the next page!

We PRAISE THE LORD that He has seen fit to release American Pastor Andrew Brunson from prison in Turkey, and he has been allowed to leave the country!! This is such an answer to prayer. Continue to pray for him and his family, and for the many who are still incarcerated falsely in prisons in Turkey and other nations. Visit the Prisoner Alert site to learn of other believers needing our prayers. Here is the latest on Asia Bibi’s case in Pakistan.
