Welcome Reading Friends! David Telbat here with an example of a Special Forces Christian Adventurer. I pray my Christian suspense novels, Dark Liaison and the rest of The COIL Series, are impacting Christians for God!
Brad the Mechanic
I can’t deny the great satisfaction of hearing from you, reader friends, when you tell me that you have enjoyed something I’ve written. More so, however, I am thrilled to get a note from someone who says, “My prayer life has changed,” or, “You gave me an idea! I’m going for it!” I can only praise God!
Recently, Brad read Dark Liaison, A Christian Suspense Novel, Book One in The COIL Series, and he couldn’t stop telling me all about his experience with that story. God used the book to ignite a fire in this bold adventurer, and I couldn’t be more pleased!
Brad is a mechanic and an engineering novice. He talked to me about a dream he’s had to equip Christians on SE Asian rivers with fan-boats (with diesel engines) to replace their dugout canoes. It can be done cheaply for Brad, since he can do all the work, and even teach the locals the simple maintenance mechanics.
In most areas in SE Asia, Bibles and even baptisms are illegal, but Brad feels that fan-boats (for smuggling Bibles quickly and transporting believers at high-speeds) would be a mighty tool in the spread of the gospel.
It’s your Turn
This is a prime example of why I write. In the writing world, authors are expected to answer the question, “What do you have to offer your reader?” Well, Brad is my answer–he desires to become a Special Forces Christian adventurer. Like the gospel is planted in good soil, so is a nudge of inspiration planted (even through fiction) in the willing servant. This is God’s work; we must only respond.
If God gave you that adventuresome spirit, find your potential by exercising it for Him. Who knows how God will use you!
See you in the field!
